call of duty 2 or 3

Its brilliant.. tanks, jeeps and motor bikes. rocket launchers and crazy sized machine guns and the levels are huge mixed with 20 odd player games... i love it there are different modes of play as well like war etc.
not played it one player yet as i've spent the last months kicking on-line arse
get it bought !! the only minor drawback is that everyone is getting rather good .. usually end up in the top 4 though ... and the graphics are miles better.

For 360 right ?
DEFINATELY COD 3.
Multiplayer is hugely better:
Many more players
New Maps Coming (already 6 added)
Great fast fun
You can easily choose and filter games, servers
Excellent graphics and audio
COD 2 came free with my graphics card on the PC, its REALLY REALLY great for the PC but not the 360.
I think the single player is just the same for both systems, but the multiplayer on the 360 is total crap compaired to the PC or COD 3.
The single player in COD 3 isn't that good but good enough to entertain for a few weeks but it will be the multiplayer that will keep you coming back for months !

As Fidgits said though, we're primarily concerned with the single player games, I found them both to be very good and would be hard pressed to choose between them, doing both on Veteran difficulty I found 3 to be a bit more difficult, but frustratingly so in certain places, often replaying one section upwards of 20 times to get past, I swear 2 probably had these bits too, but none stuck in my head so much as the furnace section in COD3.

I found the furnace section quite hard. But the part that I found the most frustratingly difficult was the factory section where you had to protect Callard and then set the charge on the third tank. Took me about three hours just to get through that section. Everytime I popped out from behind cover, I got shot to sh*t! (and that was just on `normal' difficulty).
We built a COD server as an Christmas installation at the last place I worked at. I packaged up the desktop side and we delivered it out to the IT team. It was a great laugh playing against people in the office. I bought the PS2 version which in a word is crap. The ridiculous repetition in some of the levels is just tedious, not remotely fun. No comparison between online and single player.
