Was at Silverstone on saturday and some kind soul managed to throw a 50mm bolt straight into my radiator. In hindsight, some mesh in front of it would have been useful (reminder to those not running any mesh), however, it's now cattle trucked, as I think it's damaged about 3 'cores' (and also left a nice 'I' shaped pattern in the rad).

In terms of buying a new one, what are the recommendations - the std caterham one is around £200+VAT, the 'triple core' is about £280+VAT (from caterham), wheras the radtec triple core ones are around £200+VAT. The car puts out >210hp and is used exclusively on track, so gets a hard time! Has anyone had any problems with the Radtec radiator.

My work has now blocked all 'forums', so please drop me a PM through my profile, as I'm looking to buy another one asap!

thanks

Andy McMillan of McMillan Motorsport gets some good ones made up for the Grads Racing Club drivers. Can't remember how much they are exactly, but its less than 200 quid, and in terms of capacity its somewhere in between the standard Caterham one and the High-Capacity one thats some Roadsports drivers have. Its fine for a 150bhp Mega, but I wouldn't say for sure on a 210bhp car. Worth mentioning still though

I've been using a Radtec for a few years now and it's great - solved my overheating problems and owrks well road and track. However, some users have had leaks appear after a couple of years so not all good news.

Had a tripple core CC rad start to leak a couple of years ago. Took it to a repair place, who said it couldn't be repaired.

But the chap did say the cost of a new CC rad was good, as it was a good bit of kit, which he couldn't have made any cheaper.

So I bought another CC one
