XBox 360 official steering wheel - any good?

morning all - has anyone had any experience of the above? preferably with the new PGR3 that comes bundled with it.

is it any good? does it make the game much more fun - any issues like lag, noisy mechanism, crappy pedals?

I like the idea of PGR and Forza 2 with a wheel, but £90 is quite a bit of cash. my point of reference would be the first logitech driving force wheel on the PS2 with GT4, which I thought was really good if a little noisy.
