Classic Bike - Honda VF1000R for five thousand squids

I've just spotted a Honda VF100R for sale for 5 grand!! Is anyone here into their classic bikes? I was quite hankering after one of these, but five grand seems well over the top!

Or am I missing the point? I should just enjoy it and look forward to getting my money back on it?

Blimey though. I could get a lot of modern bike for 5 grand

ive seen them fetch £3k max before as there pretty sought after, but imho £5k is a bit much!!!!

It does seem a bit rich! When was the last time you saw one go for 3k y2blade? If it was recent, I might bring that up in my discussions with the dealer

I've seen them go on ebay quite regularly, usually around £3K if it's a good one, less if they need a little work. I suspect the £5K bike you refer to is the one with 7000 miles on it and described by the trader in as new condition? If so, then I'd say it might be worth that sort of money TBH. There are 2 on auto trader at the moment at that price, and the one with Motorcycles Unlimited looks to be the better one. Nice bikes IMHO.
