Anyone in Kent know where I can get a new set of boots at a decent price?
Rears 225/50 ZR 16 92W
Fronts 205?55 ZR15 88W

Interested in maximum grip for road use only on our terrible Kent roads, are Dunlops the answer?

Funny you should mention this. Today I had fitted a pair of Dunlop SP9000's on the front of my Chimaera 205/55/15 (Non-PAS, I believe PAS has 225's). I had been running SO3's all round but you cant get them now so I phoned Fernies and asked for their advice.
My local tyre place matched Black Circle online price of £85 all in, although they couldn't match Micheldever's £76 I figured the 70-odd mile round trip and about an hours wait in the queue was worth the extra.

I've just bought some Falken 452's for £58 each (inc vat) online from www.falkentyres.co.uk - but be warned their delivery company are shocking. But for the price I am prepared to live with that !

Lots of people rate the Falkens. Toyo Proxes are an alternative.

You're unlikely to see low prices if you dont buy online

Blackcircles are good too.

Thought I'd put an update in here.
Seems that the only tyres available with the correct speed rating/sizes are Dunlop SP 9000.
I followed the advice above and contacted Black Circles, they gave me a fitted price all inclusive price of £366 for the four tyres. (They arrange fitting to be locally.)
I then contacted Micheldever with the same request and got this reply:

DUNLOP SP9000 TYRES 205/55/ZR15 , 225/50/ZR16 IN STOCK AT PRESENT,
FITTED PRICE £323.94, INC VAL BAL DISP & VAT.
MAIL ORDER £316.61 INC DELIVERY & VAT.

PLEASE PHONE 01962-774437,
THANKYOU MARK.

I can actually get the tyres fitted locally for the price of a drink, so it looks like mail order from Micheldever.
I know that there are frequent posts on here about tyres and other makes do get praised but difficulties on insurance could result. Especially when trying to get the best deal on renewal, which is a pain anyway without having to explain I've fitted tyres to it that are not up to TVR's original spec.
I guess we have to hope Dunlop keep making the things otherwise it means new wheels...
