rain forest green - may '02 - low miles (under 5k) - 'in soon'

now i wonder where they will pitch the price for this car, taking into account the current interest in this model.

I actually quite like it paperbag , seats are easily changed if Sports Buckets are required.

I bought my 03 car with 8.5k miles on and was a little worried about the lack of use, however after a Major Service + Plugs, Fluid changes and Full Checkover I am pleased to find that its a good strong genuine unmolested car. With the age and mileage on this car I would certainly make sure that it has all the above mentioned done, as its obviously been sat in a garage for consideable periods of time.

Fantastic car in a very exclusive colour.

Exactly as Ducati gary said,

Bad colour and very bad seats.

Cant imagine what you would do with a gt2 with no bucket seats !

Big hit at resale time.

Not worth more than £55000 based on other prices seen in the past 6 months.

i would have it, as a playmate for my arctic silver one. It really is a low mileage, must have been in a private collection.

It is a strange colour tho, would prob need to see it in its leafy flesh to see what it looks like.

What a meaningless comment.

In which fantasy world would you have it ?

Or do you mean you are going to go and buy it ?

He's on his umpteenth Porsche so must know all about widowmakers hehe

On a sensible note the car is coming up for 5 years old and has less than 1000 miles per year on the clock. I've always been a believer in using a car for what it was designed for as have seen plenty of examples of very low mileage cars being lots of trouble due to lack of use. The mileage and condition may suggest collector/enthusiast who brings it out in the summer only. Or....collector/enthusiast who brings it out in the summer only to attend track days.

Also, anyone buying it should get the 111 point OPC check done and put the OPC warranty on the car for as long as Porsche will allow this. I'm not an expert at all on GT2's but have read enough posts on this and other sites to know that the wallet is going to be emptied very quickly if anything mechanical goes wrong without the cover of an OPC warranty.

i completely agree on both points.

I am not saying this car is bad - i know nothing about it. Its just that 911's are designed to be driven, and certainly my OPC service chappie is always banging on about how they have more trouble with cars that have low mileages.........

Bought mine with just under 13,000 on clock; 5 years old as well..was well looked after. The costs are not that bad in comparison to its initial value; the build is rock solid and they are tremendous engines, but a warranty is a good risk based approach to take.

I still cant understand why s klump made his response to my innocent post, and am hoping for an apology. There is no call for being discourteous to another poster, unless of course you know them and its understood banter.
