air ducting

Does anyone know where to get some black plastic air ducting ? must be about 3 inches or so diameter. the lengths that take the air from the bonnet grill to the heater and fresh air vents? mine shot and I thought I would be able to get cable ducting or some such of the right size but have not found any yet...

any pointers ?

Good question, I need some underbonnet ducting as well, but I have not started looking around yet, so interested to hear if any one else has found any.

When I repaired the dash and centre console I used some flexible aluminium air vent tubing from Cafco to connect to the eyeball vents, but it was not cheap

Here as well, mine are shot and look awful.

I used the convoluted aluminium ducting, and it worked fine for a while, but it gradually fell apart where it was deflected from the bonnet opening. I solved this problem by strapping it to the chassis just behind the bonnet hinges, don't need to disconnect it every time the bonnet comes off, two birds with one stone and all that.

Try ARCO they are nationwide,i got some for my s3, its not plastic its some sort of double skinned rubber, and can withstand a lot more heat than the plastic. If my memory serves, it cost me approx 30 quid for enough for both air intakes. Try them on the web.

Cheers, I saw their catalog but couldn't figure which hose to use, lots of bright colours for different media, but I wasnt sure... so what did you select ?

Have posted some pics today,one of which shows the hose in detail. I went along to the nearest arco took a small section of the old hose to get the right diameter, and they sorted me out no problem. Tell them your restoring a tvr,show a few pics, preferably of the car, get their interest,and you find they cant help you enough. Haggle on the price and plead poverty, worked for me.
