Not a thing..........police seem quite uninterested to be honest.....officer dealing with (a pc) off til tuesday so the world stops...........

You're kidding!!!!
Your Porsche gets nicked & nothing happens till tuesday...........remind me why we're paying taxes again???
That stinks mate.....
Car theft when no gets hurt/involved seems very low down the Polices priorites
Our dealership has had two cars stolen on two separate occasions off the forecourt (with security stumps intact and undamaged and us still in posssion of all keys) might warrant a bit of further investigation you might think? No chance! The 'beat officier' 'may' pop in was the best we we're told.........we're still waiting two weeks later
Translation..... heres your crime no. now
off!

yep thats exactly whats happened mustard and james...........a friend of mine is in the police force and he say the only way to get car crime taken seriously and investigted properly is to shout very loudly (but politly of course) so, come tuesday you may here shouting from the Bingley area as I am off to meet Pc, and to give them a few lines of investigation to follow up.....will be interesting to see if they can spare the rescource............I had expected the stolen vehicle squad (or its equivilent) to take an interest but its not looking that way so far

I know I am the victim and I am pissed off, but it cant be right that a £20K car is nicked and you get a crime number and thats it............very lucrative career for the thieves I would say

In all honesty the car will have either been stripped or in a container by the end of that day.
Its a horrible truth unfortunately and a reality the police know only too well.
While I can understand how your feeling about it (I'd be the same) you can also see why the police can't pull resources to look for something without a trace.
In todays current crime climate, victimless crime like this is becoming more and more apparent. It is extremely lucky that your wife wasn't in the car and it taken by force, the people that do this are ruthless and will do anything to get what they're after, which doesn't bare thinking about.
I know its upsetting but live and learn now and if you chose to have another Porsche, get a tracker fitted, that way it can be found within hours rather than not at all.
