and a few minor tweaks to contrast. Hope to get some decent software soon.

Criticism, constuctive or not welcome.

I like these shots. My constructive criticisms below :

The reflections are a bit distracting. Perhaps put an old white sheet up to cover the windows to improve things.
I think you've taken too much detail away by cranking the contrast up too much, the car looks good, just a bit too washed out in places eg. the rear boot lid.
Both images have been overly sharpened and this has generated some jagged 'aliased' edges eg. where the bonnet meets the screen, and the rear bumper meets the rear light.

Check out this month's Photography Monthly for some tips on RAW.

As for decent software, see if you can dig out Pixmantec's Rawshooter before Adobe squish it...

Yeah - I've been enjoying RSP... Good bit of stuff. Of the alternatives Capture One is supposed to be brilliant - but it should be for the price! Lightroom or Photoshop RAW conversion I just don't seem to "get" so easily.

I like what you've done...my only gripes are the background and reflections.

Martin.

Cheers Podie !!
I downloaded Rawshooter today and am blown away by it. After previously using Nikon Capture 4 and CS2 (sooooooo slow) for RAW, finding this this package has made my day! Its so fast and intuitive.

Could I ask from where you downloaded Rawshooter please?

I've tried several times from here:

www.photo-freeware.net/raw-shooter-essentials.php

Managed to download it, but can't use it until it's registered...everytime I try to register, it fails. Thought it was because Adobe has now blocked it?

Downloaded from the pixmantec site before Adobe pulled it.

I've got a couple of the free versions (2005 and 2006). PM me your e-mail address and I'll put em on a CD for you.
