Front driving / fog lights=V8S

Currently got the car up on stands for wheels refurb, was looking at the fog/driving lamps look a bit tatty. Was thinking about replacing them with two driving lamps|| (do'nt think i'll take the car out in fog) any of you guys / gals done the same.
What fits, and is it easy replacement, i'am a Building Surveyor, know all about buildings 'cars' well history 'yes' mechanicals ok if the pistons still go up / down.

Ring do a range of fog or spot lights that fit straight in and are avilable from Halfwits among other places for about £20.00 per pair.

To convert to spots would be a simple wiring job all you would need was a 5 pin relay.

Ring lights did not fit in the holes for my V8S, in fact I broke two of the them trying.

Now I have lights with cracked lenses.

Ah there we go then nothing is standard on a Tiv. They did fit straight onto my S3 and I know others have managed to fit them to theres with no problems. All you can do is take an old one as a patern or mesure it carefully.

Thanks guys, looks like it's going to take longer than expected to get the wheels done, trip to 'Brum' diamonded tipped recut / polish.
So may now have time to take measurments and see what available, all this for the 'Chatsworth' run, should stick to the day job|| at least i know where to get wall insulation||||

I put some Ring in mine a few years ago. When they (inevitably!!)broke I replaced them with the Lucas ones (LDB126). This was a few years ago so I'm not sure if they are still available.

PS I think I might have a used Ring fog version somewhere if anyone is desparate; if so let me know and I will bring to Chatsworth (assuming I can find it!!)

Later: I've looked in the garage and I do have a black Ring fog light. It works Ok but does have a crack in the glass - I don't think it leaks though so if anyone wants it let me know.

I replaced the rotten originals with replacement units from TVR carparts (£25.00)+ carriage,when they arrived they were the same 6 inch Ring lights that could be bought from my local carspares for £13.00. i found this out due to breaking one of the lights putting it in.To get them to fit easy rub the plastic rear of the lamp with course sandpaper(cant be seen when fitted)and they fit into the holes easy,a little grease ensures they slide all the way in with no pressure placed on the glass.

Thanks guy's, just call at my local auto-shop for wipers for the daily drive, spotted 'Ring' lamps on display pair for £12.00 quid. So looks like it's out with the old in with the new.

Sounds like a good deal to me! Are they spots or fogs? If they fit OK it would be useful to have the part no and whether they are spots/fogs for future ref. I have Lucas spots and may go back to the fogs if cheap enough so would be interested in the details.

You can choose driving lamps or fog lamps - both the same size.

Don't know the part numbers. Go to Halfords. Find "Ring" driving or fog lamps in packs of 2. That's them.
