Ive downloaded the trial and it seems like a good game. Dont have a steering wheel and not a clue how to create cars etc. Will it be worth getting the full game?

Buy a G25 and it comes with the game.

You dont need to know anything except that the G25 is a must.

I know its virtually impossible with my saitek rumble pad, I prefer the more pollished simbin games.

How can GTR/GTR2 be easier than rFactor with a rumble pad? They have essentially the same game and control systems, both games have the same options of steering help and braking & throttle help if you need to turn anything on. If you can play one you can play the other. And GTR2's controls have been dumbed down since GTR making it easier and perhaps more unrealistic.

probably why I find it easier with gtr2 (and gp legends?), if your've got the whole steering wheel and pedal set up in one of those frame things then its ok, but bolt upright at a desk I find gives me back ache, so thats why I would rather give up a bit of realism so I can just use the pad controller, I found the steering to sensitive on rfactor to use my pad.

When i can't be bothered to set up my wheel, i just use my Xbox 360 pad.
I get on really well with it too after a wee bit of fiddling with dead zones etc.
I set the Y and B buttons for gears and use the flippers for gas and braking.

G25 is a steering wheel with clutch and H-Shift, GTR and GTR2 are games similar to rFactor
