Since everyone seems to be waiting for the news, I phoned Petersport today and lo and behold the date will be announced officially at the end of the week. Hmm. There is an embargo on the date. I know it but dare I tell you? Dare I lose my press passes for breaking the embargo?

What the hell...............

11/12/13 July 2008. Now get on and book your accomodation!

But you didn't get it from me, now did you?

Nah I wouldn't do it Tucker, it's a dreadful event, can I just make clear how awful it is and how much you'd all hate it. Stay away from it....

You know what! The comments on this forum are always so helpful and honest, thank-you Piglet, we shall pretend that we have never even heard of this Classic thingy

To assist people with their awful decision I went out today and bought all the tickets. There is no more space available at all. I shall be there with my few friends and that's it. Tough cheese for all of you. Now you can think of the 24 hour but leave the word Classic out of it. God I'm so helpful................

Lynx, I emailed info@lemans classic - or whatever the email address is on the website to ask about when one could buy tickets (I know it's early I just tend to forget about these things once my race season starts!) but I got a bounce back from the email address?

Do you know if the tickets are available?

Well, as far as I know since the date isn't officially known yet it is unlikely that tickets will be on sale for a while. However, the email address on the site is:-

ticket@lemans.org

I don't have any other address but I suggest you wait a while and try again

I'm not sure it is tickets@lemans.org - isn't the Classic run by a different organising club or different part of the organising club to the 24?

I think you'll find that it is TICKET singular, not TICKETS plural, if you look at the email address on the site

Had email reply today from billitterie(ticket@lemans.org) saying they still have no information on dates. They gave booking office no oo33892 697 224 (0.34E/min) and fax 0033243844713. I'm still using lynx67 dates for booking rooms

I am sorry if you don't doubt me but as a press member I have it direct from the horses mouth. Whether it was the Al Pacino horse I can't say, but the lady who told me is a member of Petersport and is a family friend. Go for it. I'm taking bets if you wish.

This is presumably a really stupid question since I can't find any info for this year. But is le mans classic only every other year?
