BTCC Media Day today at Rockingham - some pictures
Discussion
Hi there,
Had a great afternoon at Rockingham, good to see the cars out in force. Shame about the non runners would have been nice to see the Civic and 120 diesel running. Only saw the Civic briefly as Team Dynamics were packing the car away ready to go back to base.
Took loads of pictures of the cars out on track which make a change to all the static shots that I have seen so far. It was my first time shooting at Rockingham and it is certainly not my favourite track. All of these pics were taken from the roof of the garages looking across to the main grandstand.
Enjoy them - (please click on images to view the full size version as this site will automatically resize them).

I've covered the last couple of BTCC seasons, and I've still around 200 images from the 2006 season up on my photobox account...

Great pics - but no one is driving Plato's car!!
You've done a nice job of blurring the background - what where your settings (roughly). I can't see the exif data.

Hi there,
All of the shots were taken using my Olympus E-500 DSLR. The lense was the standard Olympus 40-150mm which was set to the maximum zoom of 150mm which is equivalent to about 300mm on a film SLR.
As for shutter speed I used 1/200 which is my preferred setting for panning shots. I did try a few a bit slower and faster but no turned out as well as those at 1/200.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Tim
