Having owned my Cerb for nearly 2 years I thought it might be nice to try out the standard exhausts as She's been fitted with Blue Flames since well before I purchased Her.
Don't get me wrong Blue Flames sound really nice with baffles removed but some people have commented on their looks and I'm beginning to wonder.
My standard pipes were in remarkable condition due to the fact they had spent so little time on the car. But on closer inspection the welds in places were a little bit to be desired. A close friend of mine by the name of Carlo, who is mustard at welding stainless steel, ground out all of the welds where the front pipes join the silencer in order to reweld where there were signs of cracking. After this I had the whole rear section bead blasted after which I sprayed it with heat resistant paint (650degC). Yes I know it's stainless Steel but TVR sprayed it black at the factory?
While it was in for it's service 2 weeks ago I had 8 new purple intakes hoses fitted due to a couple of them being worn through at the rear of the engine due to friction on the detachable panel.
