Improvements 2

Read my other post first as the order keeps changing (it's called improvements?)
Firstly a picture of my new purple pipes.


Now the question.

Is it best to keep a 2003 4.5 in it's standard form or will there be little to be lost in the long run should She end up far from standard. I'm not planning on selling Her in the forseeable future but I'd like to keep her worth Her maximum if such a thing is possible.

Back to exhausts then........Blue Flames or Standard.............purely for looks that is.

nice car !!

I dont like the way a lot of these pipes are fat for a few inches
then thin down and the brackets are visible ...

Its the sort of add on tailpipe look you could buy from woolworths
(ok Im exagerating) ...

I reckon the Blue flames probably look greak from most angles!
I think the standard ones look even better!!

Personally I prefer the Look (and sound) of the Standard pipes.

Thanks for the replies, the standard pipes are already growing on me. Just one other thing, how much do linked decat pipes change the sound of standard pipes, I'm sure I've read on here it's the best combination,in some people opinion, for that certain sound only Cerbs can achieve.

I had decat pipes with std exhaust on my old cerby 4.5 and it was perfect. Loud but not mad loud and it was cheap at £100

My 4.5 has the standard rear box with de-cats. I love the sound, quiter than a sports exhaust, slightly louder but it gives the exhaust an 'angry bark' edge to the sound espeicially under acceleration, aggressive but not noisy, it's a soound that says Power not "look at me arent I loud"

Totally agree with you - I have the same, and it's very much a "classy" option.

So where could I get hold of a standard exhaust ? Mine is a bit on the loud side !

Drove a car with a catted sport exhaust but it didn't sound as good IMHO. I think that a decatted sports would be a bit much.
