recently bought 4.2 cerbera ,it still has cats fitted and 4.5 rear box sounds awesome ,is it worth removing cats for performance ,noise,comments please ,forums are amine of information and entertainment keep up good work davy

My 4.2 is 105db with a sports rear and catted. Apparently it gets louder without the cats, which would be a problem at most track days.

My 4.2 is decatted, does my head in if I'm honest. Too loud.

Something with the road presence and power of the cerb doesn't need to shout from the rooftops to say "i'm here". When I put my foot down I am deafened, feel like a a chav in a Max Powered Nova. Considering going back to near standard. When I first had the car I thought it was fun now I just think 'arse'.

I can understand the pure power boys and girls trying to eek out that bit more - but them you can't go on a track so what's the point? But in the real world the day to day problems outweigh the advantages IMHO.

thats 4.5 standard backbox decatted. When driving it sounds nice - not too loud, not boomy. With the windows up & gunning the engine you can still talk (sort of).

Nope, this was when there was a problem with over fueling on the right bank! just spat flames all of the bloody time!

I'm told mine does that all the time.

But since I'm the one who drives it most of the time I've not had a chance to see it and we've not managed to capture it on video yet either.

Nope, this was when there was a problem with over fueling on the right bank! just spat flames all of the bloody time!

Can you remember why it was over fuelling what was the final fix?
