Hi

My rear view mirrors have suddenly become loose and have minds of there own. How the devil do you tighten them ? I did see someones post recently on this very subject who interestingly had few if any replies. I hope I have a little more success. Many thanks

The mirror glass is stuck on to a circular plastic plate. Over time the adhesive loosens and they shake about.

Look under the mirror glass and you will see a small metal tab, using a small screwdriver push it sidewards and the plate should release from its mounting and the glass fall out.

Its hard to explain but once you see how it works its a doddle

got them off there seems to be no way of tightening the wing mirrors themselves. I also had some f***ing idiot twist the left one right round and so the door release wire to the switch has sheared I cant seem to pull any slack through I may be able to solder it up. Not that I have a soldering iron.....

Any ideas how to free the loom ? I cant see where it comes into the footwell either ?

Anyways cheers anyway

Pull back the carpet just in front of the door and you will find the wires. For the electric window there is a plug & socket at this point, don't know if theres one for the mirror.
Also you may find it benficial to remove the speaker for access to wires in the door
