I may have placed this in the wrong section, if so apologies!

I've just purchased a car which the previous owner paid a lifetime subscription to a 'Tracker' tracking service.

Would anybody know if it is able to be directly transfered to me without any cost?

Not transferable you would have to take out another Subscription.

Life time means for the present owner untill he or she sell's
The only good thing is you have no fitting cost's.

The previous owner should cancel the subscription (service) and you should then contact Tracker as the new owner and start paying a new subscription.

Lifetime means lifetime and not the individual owners (in my experiesnce) .

I bought an M3 in Feb 06 which had Navtrak ADR on it subscribed until Sept 2008. The seller and myself merely rang Navrtrak and changed the owneship details and contact numbers.

The subscription was now mine.

Last week I sold the car and did the same in reverse, the new owner now has the exact same subscription until Sept 2008.

No costs attached to either transfer BTW

This also applies to say aRoad Angel who will happily transfer lifetime subscriptions

This is how the Tracker does work, done it a few times now.
