Hi,

Haven't received my blue book yet so ...

I'd be grateful if someone could set me straight on precisely what labels / stickers / numbers speed event scrutineers will be looking for on helmets in 2007.

I did do a search but came up with nothing.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Eric

Take a look at this www.fia.com/resources/documents/891400263__List_25_standards_helmets.pdf which is the FIA accepted standards for helmets (the MSA standards are similar). Don't get a Snell 2000 as that's likely to be dropped as a standard in the next year or so. For speed events (I assume we're talking sprints or hillclimbs here), you can get away with BS-6658-85 Type A (without the FR which stands for fire resistant) whihc is the same sticker but blue rather than red.

You can download the Blue Book in PDF format from the MSA website - log in & go to 'member publications'.

hi I whent to great lenghths when sourcing my new lid for this year and pretty much drew a blank ref all the suitable stickers etc, other than to buy from tweeks or gp raceware.
had to buy at Autosport, ie trying them on etc and have to say tweeks didn't seem interested!!!

bought from gpr in the end, did a very good deal, ( better than tweeks offered, dispite that they sponsor our championship!!)
