You should have fitted as standard at the factory:

META M99T2 ALARM CONTROL UNIT WITH BATTERY BACKED SIREN
META M36T2 IMMOBILISER
META M23A MICROWAVE SENSOR

It's a Thatcham Cat1 system, but TVR Factory technicians apparently NOT Thatcham approved, so it's not officially a Thatcham Cat1 installation

What a suspicous bunch on the Lotus Exige page!

I'm not going to try and pinch their cars. I was trying to get some insurance quotes but you need to enter the type of immobiliser on the Tesco website.

Thanks TVR boys.

Chris.

I generally find that pushing the accelerator pedal in my T350 towards the floor, gets rid of them quite nicely!!!

Only joking!!!

It's under the leather covering the transmission tunnel apparently.....
Bit of a pig to get to!!!

Makes me wonder how it works, as I thought these things worked on air movement and there can't be that much air movement under there!!! Having said that, if I don't close all my air vents and make sure my windows are shut tight, damn things always going off!!!

If you take the centre console off (just a screw either side and a catch at the "elbow" end - you might not even have to remove the gearknob / handbrake grip) you'll find the microwave sensor to the left of the gearstick. Its a black box with a red label, approximately the size of a deck of cards. There's a sensitivity adjustment dial you can adjust with a screwdriver.

A piece of cake to sort (and that's coming from someone who has trouble assembling Ikea furniture!!!)
