Maidstone yellow jackets

Any one know who the people sitting around in pairs on the side of the road wearing high vis jackets are. What are they up too! they seem to point at me every time i go bye and talk on there walky talkies.

If they had "guns" then yes. However if no guns of any sort (as in speed guns) then perhaps traffic counters.

They've got KCC jackets on.

They're on all approach roads into the hell hole that is Maidstone.

Might have a wander down to chat with them to see tomorrow - probably doing a how many single people in the car survey or how many trucks are actually going through Maidstone (justification again for KCC to wiggle out of a ring road.).

nothing to do with speeding dont worry...

they are carrying out traffic surveys.
flow rates of traffic, vehicle ages , colour etc...

theres 4 of them out side my office on wat tyler way.

We will probably be getting some new speed cameras and extra traffic lights soon
