Just been quoted $1100 to ship a set of Roadster wheels and tyres from the US to the UK! Seems like a massive amount of money!! Am I getting shafted, or does that sound about right?? confused

HI Mate

I don't think I had a breakdown of shipping, it was all in the price I paid. They are heavy and you'll be paying transport for the air in the tyres as well :-) I would call DHL and ask them for a quote. Dont forget you'll have to pay import duty/tax on those babies as well!!! and customs will know as the shipper will have to state value in case there is an insurance claim, take the risk and say they are worth only $10bucks!!!

$500 sounds very cheap! Is that by sea?

ericthebrave is the PH member who has a shipping co that flies parts over from the US.
