Condensation in the rear light clusters

How difficult a job is it to remove the rear light covers and then reseal them ?

The sealant has cracked and is letting in a small amount of water.

Its not a hard job, cut carefully around the lenses and pull them off. Then remove all old silicone and replace with new stuff.

But you might cure the condensation by drilling a tiny hole towards the bottom of the lens to allow the moist air to escape. It won#t fog up again if you do that.

Just my opinion, as I have the same, but would it not be better to wait for a day when the condensation has gone and then make a repair to the damaged bit?

Only reason I say this is that the rear lights look a bitch to reseal unless you really are good at smoothing it all off etc...

Are you certain it's coming from the outside seal?

Is there, perhaps, water in your boot and the fogging is coming from here?

The lights are simple to remove from inside the boot area.

Might be worth a look.
