Hey Guys, quick question on the entitlement of driving licenses.
This was inspired by my girlfriend having a "safty assessment" on the work mini bus yesterday, and some strange comments from the inspector person! The minibus is one of those LDV Convoy thingies.

She passed her test in Nov 2004 and is currently 23 years old. What is she entitled to drive, and does it change at certain ages? Also, does she need to apply to DVLA to have any entitlements added to here license.

Similarly, i passed my test in March 2001 and am currently 23. Are my entitlements the same or different?

I had heard mentiobned (just hearsay from a friend) something about 3.5 tonnes weight being the deciding factor...

Anybody know any websites for diffinitive info? I'm searched DVLA, just probably not hard enough!

If you've still got the DVLA booklet that came with your driving licence, it gives the classes/entitelemnts/eges on there.

I just added a full motorcycle entitlement to my licence, so I'll see if I can find the leaflet and have a look in that.

What's the best way to find out the MAM of a vehicle. Also, does a car towing a trailer have a total MAM of the same value?

Mentioned before but rolling reminder.

If you do have extra entitlements on your licence and you send it off for renewal or whatever, make sure you keep a copy of your licence as DVLA have been known to send you back a licence shorn of all the extras. Been known that tests have had to be retaken.
