I'm looking to buy a unit that will get me to places in the UK via postcode, warns me about all speed cameras, can easily be transfered from one car to the other and does not look bloody aweful in my car. Any suggestions?

Garmin nuvi 660.

About the only in-car satnav that doesn't look as though it was mde by Fischer-Price. Also easy to remove and put into a jacket pocket - it's like a 1" thick passport.

looking at Garmin Nuvi 300T, seems the 350 version tells u to turn right into a named street but if not know the area, better to have turn right in 100 yards...

600 version is nice, but about double the price with lots of extras that u dont really need like mp3 player

I'd opt for a Navman F20. In fact, I did £150 in store from the likes of Halfords, or £125 from Amazon, eBuyer etc, etc. It "does" full UK postcodes, and you can purchase a speed camera location subscription for £34 from Navman, IIRC. Navman's customer service is brilliant, too: much, MUCH better than TomToms.
