I got mine today as well -
it was pre reg'd in Nov 06
It would have been nice if they could have sorted it while it was theirs ??
Is this a thing any dealer can do or am I going on a drive to Derby again ?
regards Neil

theres at least one guy on here got his local dealer to do it. mine thought they were being allowed to until they got a call the day I delivered the car to say that no Vauxhall wouldn't be sending them the 2 springs - end result I had a 120mile round trip for a 5 min job instead of a 1 mile round trip. I'd suggest you try twist your local dealer's arm into trying to order up the bits - if one managed it then it must be possible.

Tis a bit confusing as I thought mine was done last time it was serviced.

Just looked at my paperwork the recall was titled "Front Seat Spring"

Is this the same as the latest ones?

Can't remember what the original letter referred to, but the latest says the same "Front Seat Spring"

I'm sure the original recall was that the side a/b would unexpectedly go off due to static and the fix was to and a spring to the grounding wire on the seat.

"We are writing to advise you that in line with our commitment to continuous improvement, it has been established that a small number of Monaro models could have a concern where the front seats side impact airbags are not earthed to specification. In the interests of vehicle safety we have decided to call in a certain number of Monaros to have an additional seat earth spring installed to both front seats"

That is what the original recall said.

OK just "re-read" my letter.

and it mentions in there........"At the time of writing we have not received any notification of the necessary work having been carried out".

Will call Jeffers tomorrow to put my mind at rest.
