1994/1995 TVR Griffith wanted for TV shoot!
Discussion
Calling all TVR Griffith owners,
I hope you may be able to help me. My name is Tom Maguire and I am writing from an independent TV production company in Leeds where we are making the third series of Used Car Roadshow for ITV4. For those of you who haven't seen any of it (shame on you lol) it is very much consumer-interest led programme; our two presenters, Jason Dawe (ex-Top Gear presenter & Sunday Times motoring journo) and Penny Mallory (ex-Driven presenter), use their expert knowledge to advise our viewers as to the pit-falls and tricks of the used car market. The main backbone of the show, however, is where we help one member of the public find the car of their dreams within their budget and wish list. Here Jason's used car bargaining skills come into their own as he gets the best price for the viewer's ideal car.
In addition to this we also have various features such as Teenage Kicks - where Jason and Penny look back at cars from their youths that they lusted after but could not afford the insurance on, never mind actually owning. Now, years later, some of these are actually affordable to mere (motoring) mortals.
Another such item is called Free Motoring - this is where Jason points out cars that have reached a point in their lives where they can be bought now and will hold their residual value over at least the next 12 months, this can be due to the fact that they haved just bottomed-out in value or they have reached such an iconic status that they will not depreciate much further, if any.
This is where my request comes lies: Jason is looking to feature a TVR Griffith from around 1994/1995 (i.e. with the 5L 340bhp V8) on the show.
We will be recording the programme over the coming weeks and months in Leeds. So if you think that you might be able to help us by bringing a Griffith along to our studio you can contact me on the details below.
Alternatively, if you don't have one we are also looking for audience members who would like to come along for the recording of one of our shows. Tickets are free and can be obtained by contacting me on the details below.
Thanks very much for your time and all the best...
Regards,
Tom Maguire

Quinny, will you be at the Growl this year? I really want to see your paint colour in the flesh before i make my final decision on my colour change. I'm sure the photos do not do it justice just as my old Ocean Haze they look more stunning in the flesh.
Oh by the way, Tom, I withdraw my email offer and
to a superior paint job.

My car is going to be on TV !!!
Provisionally due to be aired on Used Car Roadshow on 23rd May (ITV4) at 8PM.
I went up to Leeds and met the TV producers, Tom, Jason Dawe and Penny Malory a couple of weeks ago.
Had a great day up there (even though I was suffering from tonsillitus) and stood by as Jason did the footage for the show, using my car as the feature.
A bit nervous about seeing it, I hope it looks OK on telly !
Shame the show clashes with the European Cup Final but it is repeated on the following Saturday 26th May at 7PM.
