I'm thinking of getting a lens from DigitalRev on eBay but they said the lens is a Japanese version and has a 3 year warranty supplied by "Mark company" (Either thats a typo or I dunno who they are)

Does anyone know what kind of warranty & support I'm likely to get fron Cannon here in the UK if I bought this kind of lens?

Do they mean Mack Warranty? If it is, it's an extended worldwide warranty.

Oh, it could be - good spot. Shame I'll have to ship it back to the States if it went wrong though.

No you don't - you just need to get a reference number from Mack first then send it to your local service centre for repair.

Job done..

My 70-200 came from HK and has a Mack warranty. Initially I was a bit annoyed it wasn't a genuine canon warranty, but this Mack company seem to be fairly big and, well, fingers crossed I won't need to use the warranty! Cost saving was huge anyway!
