Sorry its off topic but dont know where else to go!

Its the wifes birthday start april and looking to have a lovely romantic meal.

Have done Coco's and Frasers at Kings Park, so looking for somewhere different.

Was thinking of a Swan River Dinner Cruise, but only Captain Cook Tours seem to do one and it looked a little less posh than i thought.

Can anyone help?!

The dinner cruises dont tend to be that great.

Try the Loosebox in Mundaring. They are reputed to be the best and they have accomadation for your desert

I was also going to suggest the Loose Box. Chef Alain Fabregez (I know that is not spelt right but CBA looking it up ) makes a habit of picking up top international awards.
Not cheap, but an experience to enjoy.
Pity we don't have a 5Star type river dinner cruise, I would certainly go for that. AFAIK, the dinner cruises we do have are more your "pissup on a boat" stylee rolleyes

Yep they are definately just you 'pissup on a boat' type thing...average food, average booze and tend to be fulll of work functions.

Instead of a meal go to one of the many luxury spa/cottages there are around Perth.

ok thanks for that. Did get the impression from the pics that a dinner cruise will be no more than work meeting type buffet with none of romance needed.

Thanks for the suggestions and will check out the recommended ones.

Farmyard on a barbie, few tins and a sunset - that's about as romantic as I have seen here.

Mind you I'm fat, bald and poor yet still look like Brad Pitt next to the other half so maybe that's why.

(hopefully she doesn't realise PH has an australian forum)

Went to Coco's last night, had one of the best meals I can remember! Everything was superb, we both had crayfish for entree, I had a perfect med/rare fillet steak, Karen had duck, I finished with an excellent creme brulee.
Add a few Bombay Sapphires & liquer coffees, not a cheap meal but well worth it.
Only down side was they were packed, I was a bit surprised for a Tuesday.

Oh and of course the owner Ian Love is a Petrolhead, used to race an ex Dick Johnson Mustang at Wanneroo.

eta oh bugger, just re read the OP and I see you've already done Coco's... as you were then

Pretty sure he used to run a GrpA commodore aswell at Wanneroo didnt he? Him and Alf used to play around a bit. Reminds me of the time they took off for a warm up lap (or was it after the chequred flag?) and Alf stormed around on 10/10ths not realising that noone else was actually racing...

Alf ran a pair of Walkinshaw Group A Commodores for himself and Tim Slako (of Westracing)

I was telling Karen that story about Alf's start last weekend (we were at Wanneroo for the V8s). It was the 'privateers' race at an ATCC round, field grids up and gets flagged off for teh warmup lap. Alf makes a storming "start" from midfield and blasts of into "the lead"
Worst part was all the marshalls on the track ready to grid them up when he comes blasting through again. He got black flagged off and missed the race; how embarresment

eta: my memory's a bit vague, but ISTR that Ian Love was involved with John Farrell (of Oceanfast yachts) who used to run Peter Brock's old race cars at Wanneroo. It's possible that Ian ran one of these Commodores as well?

That was my 3rd season in the RX3, only running midfield (or further back) at that stage
Thanks for the link! (I actually have that race on VHS from the original broadcast)
