The guy (Rob Ingleby) mentioned in this thread should be of use!
Or James Agger ( www.jamesagger.com ) is good at sourcing quality TVRs apparently.
I'm sure people more knowledgable on the models you're looking at will be along shortly though!

Take my advice and use James Agger instead - if you want to know why then PM me!
Whereabouts in Wiltshire are you? I'm on the north Dorset border if you want a look at my V8S. It's not mint but is pretty sound. Unfortunately I'm no expert, but there are some on the S series forum.
Check out www.tvrsseries.com.
Buy the Steve Heath 'bible'.
ETA: I'm not selling mine - it's just if you need to look at one before going out to buy.

or Rob Ingleby - I had no problems with his service at all....where you live is immaterial as unless you expect to find your perfect car just round the corner you will have to travel somewhere. Good thing about James and Rob is they go see loads of cars every week...pick one and send them a list of your preferences...will save you a fortune in petrol/time.

I'm with Fubar and Snorky. Rob Ingleby did well for me.
Fubar...have you received the
from Brian Ashton yet? You can't be that much older than Mike Catt

But Im not sure a fat prop from the Sussex Leagues will quite cut it as an International back. Mind, if he wants to try me out Im game

V8S is being rather modest, imo, very knowledgable ,very helpful and worth listening to.
Would also be worth your time to contact your local TVRCC,i dont know your region,so cant advise further.
Best of luck in your hunt,AL
You might be thinking of GreenV8S or V8Smith there.
Those chaps are well worth talking to. I'm one of those owners who pays others to service anything other than oil and water.

one last question, how does the new tax laws affect a v8s.
I'm not sure but I think it'll be fine - the tax hike is for newish cars giving out a certain C02.
Another £100 on tax is nothing compared to fuel costs though. Equivalent to two to three full-tank outings, and you'll be hopefully doing lots of those with whatever TVR you get.
