test drive unlimited PS2

Bloomin auto-only... Not a good start.
In game graphics are ok though. Obviously not next gen, but do the job jus fine. Not too sure about the handling yet though, feels a bit flat to begin with (only driven the Ford GT so far though).
Sat Nav seems quite a good addition.
Anyway,
I'll play some more now.

got this yesterday and played it for a few hours... took it back this morning and exchanged it for the PC version....
WOW, so much better on PC its silly.
Currently got a Saturn Sky & Classic Camaro Z/28 but also have $282000 to fins a car. torn between a V8 Vantage or a Gallardo SE. Might buy both
Brilliant game.

What spec pc are you running on? I've read some reviews of this saying that even though their spec is good enough the game is really stuttering. If it looks like my pc will run it okay I'll definately be getting it.
Intel Pentium 4 3.4ghz with 1.5GB Ram and a 128mb NVIDIA GeForce 6610XL
I let the game find it's own settings ( i think it's high detail 1024x768?) and it looks about 10times better than the PS2 version and runs fine. Things get a bit exciting at 150+mph in a Lambo Murci in traffic......
Ps. added a bigger house, Aston V8 & Murci to the line up. Top tip for money, try and find the hidden car delivery missions (there are 30 in total). They are worth around $80k to $90k and if you managed to complete them perfectly (ie, no off roads and no traffic impacts) you get a $40k perfect bonus. No time limit either so you can take as long as you want.
I own a copy of tdu on ps2 i own 1 house with a capacity of 6 cars.I also own a Jaguar xj220 with stage 3 power pack, a Lamborghini murcielago roadster with a stage 3 power pack, a koenigsegg ccr with stage 3 power pack and a lotus esprit v8 with a stage 3 power pack. The koenigsegg is mental
and i have had 265mph out of it although it will do 270mph.
Only got it on Friday night and have spent about 7 hours on it so far.

how have you people got Lambos and Astons so quick. I bought it for the Playstation 2 on release date and I still only have 1 house, 1 Ford Mustang and 50,000 credits. I have played it for over 3 hours and thats all I have achieved
. Apart from me finding it hard to raise money for better cars I quite like it. The island is very big, much bigger than I first thought. I love the sounds of the cars I think they sound awsome (McLaren F1
). The only down side to the PS2 game is that there is no TVR's or Ferrari's
. I have noticed people talking about driving missions I havn't came across them yet. Where do you go to find them?

I must agree, i was distraught when i discovered no TVR's! I havent found any missions yet either
Cars wise, i have:
Ford Mustang
Nismo 350Z S-tune
Alfa Romeo 8C - Tuned Stage 3
Cadillac XLR
AC Cobra - Tuned Stage 3
Chevrolet Corvette C1
Shelby Mustang GT500 (60's version)
Just wondering what to buy next! i have about 300,000 credits to spend on a quick 'B' rated car. I'm thinking either a tuned Noble, or a Lambo
On the 360 my initial car history was Audi TT (F), Nissan 350Z (E), Maserati GranSport(D) then Ferrari F430 Coupe (B).
After that I got a Guillardo Spyder (C), Ferrari Enzo. Then started getting stuff for specific challenges.
The more interesting things in my garage (ignoring my bikes) are a Koenigsegg Stage 3 tuned, Maserati MC12, Miura, and a Mercielago, stage 3 tuned. The Murcie is amazing, not quite as outright quick as some of the other A group cars, but really stable because of the 4 wheel drive.
The Saleen S7 TT is appaling, the power band is tiny, and just makes the tyres spin.
I've got about 6 or 7 houses now.

i think its a pretty solid game, love the behind the wheel camera view. that is great. the only slight gripe i have so far is the sat nav woman does my head in!
looking forward to getting into this!

Are there any delivery missions for TDU on PS2. I have been earning money 8,000 at at time on a speed mission. It has got me a Alfa v6, Skyline, 350z, Elise and the Shelby that you win. And two homes. Where can I find the delivery missions (if they exist)? and can I do them more than once?
Thanks
Thanks
If your talking about car delivery missions then (if they exist) you can only do them once. But if done perfectly they will net you around $130k a time (and there is 20 on the PC version of the game) and once complete you unlock the Mustang GTR concept, again, this is the PC version.
I owned the PS2 version for about a day and a half before taking it back and exchanging it for the PS version, if your PC is capable of pushing the graphics then I highly recommend the switch. Ignore the kiddies claiming its a "beta", I have been running it fine without bugs and it rocks, blows the PS2 version into the weeds.
