I'd just like to say that my V8S is running bloody excellently and has done so pretty much since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago.
All the problem posts get a bit much sometimes, so I'm trying tip the scale the other way by saying these cars can be very reliable, give huge pleasure per mile and lots of
, and they are social event as well as a driving event.
To anyone who's in the market for an S, Wedge, Griff or whatever, don't let all the problems you see put you off. If they were that much trouble, no one would be driving them. A quieter majority are getting daily running out of their Tivs, but good stuff is rarely newsworthy on PH or anywhere else.
As long as you buy a good example and don't neglect it, you're in for miles and years of grins, waves and driving one of the best performance cars per pound. And they don't half sound good too!

Had my V8S now for a years+, just serviced / mot'd and ready for the summer. Nice to report NO problems so far,the car ran faultless all year and i agree the noise/smiles/fun make it all worthwile. What upgrades have you had done?, mines on stands at the moment for the wheels being repolished (for the Chatsworth run out) and i might replace the driving lamps.
bought my V8S last july, after running other classics such as porsche 928 S4,Ferrari modial 8, RR shadow 2, the TVR is a breath of fresh air. The simple tiv outclasses all the rest due to it's ease of maintainance,low cost parts and it's very easy to work on.Any potential tiv buyer could do worse and the smile per mile ratio is amazing,the best all rounder i've ever owned
Got to agree my V8S has been supremely reliable with only end of life items letting the car down, top car. Mine has been in a lock up over winter and I had some thoughts of selling it for a 911 (extra seats for my son) but after getting it back and driving to work all last week in it, I have of course changed my mind I have now convinced the wife to change her car for a 911 so best of both worlds...

. Roll on the summer I can think of some wonderful roads and places to take the S. Another in agreement here, my S3 ran fantastically and was on reflection very cheap to look after considering the abuse I gave it. The V8S has a few niggles so far which were expected given the price I paid for it, but now feels solid as a rock and can't be surpassed for the grin it supplies

Just arrived in Cork, Ireland, having driven to Bristol airport from Southampton yesterday. (Got a bit lost around Frome tho!!) Had loads of 'flashes (ooo'er) from other people and one guy wound down his window and gave a big thumbs up!! As I was getting a bit pushed for time I didn't respond to half of them - - hope it wasn't another pistonheader!
I will be contacting the TVRCC RO, Jerry soon and hopefully meeting him for a
(right colour too!!) A real sense of camaraderie these cars bring - nothing quite like it IMO!!
