Hi all,
Having owned my Griff 500 since Feb 2002, and been an avid reader of these forums for a number of years, I've finally plucked up the courage to join the PH community and post my first topic!
So hi everyone from a newbie. Apart from saying G'day to all of you in the northern hemisphere, the other reason for this post is to find out how many Griff-owning PHs are Down Under.
I live in Canberra and would like to catch up (if only by e-mail) with any other Griff owners. I've lived here for over 4 years in total and in that time have only ever seen 2 other Griffs (and none in Canberra).
So if there any of you out there are down here, as it were, give me a hoy!

Lindsay - cinquechento (spelling???0 on here - lives in Sydney and is a good friend to the Griff owners over here. He has come over for the Griff Growl for the last 2 years and we are hoping that he makes it this time...If you are in the UK at all during the summer there is normally something on each weekend and im sure that you wouldnt be short of a ride if you asked
I recall him saying that there were 4 either Griffs or TVRs in Sydney as far as he knew

Thanks for the replies. Pasco, taken up your suggestion and posted in the Australian section - congrats on the wedding BTW, fantastic location, been to Perth 3 or 4 times and had to be dragged away!
Toma500, overheating during normal running isn't too much of a problem although obviously she runs hotter than in the UK. Average daily temps in Canberra during the summer are in the mid 30s degrees C, but water temp rarely rises above 85 degrees F unless sitting in traffic when it rises to 90. I've got Steve Heath's RHS and LHS exhaust heat shield on order and I'm about to order David Beer's (mod-wise) top-level 2-stage cooling kit and his hot starting kit. To be honest, the real problem is hot starting - particularly those embarrassing fuel stops!
