Totally agree. Based on the Cobra build it should be an interesting program that isn't telling us what's coming next every two minutes!

I was particularly impressed that he blew the budget so he could be a luvvley big lump (5 ltr Chevy lump I think - stand corrected), loads of polish chrome

Right, I'm going out to the garge with a can of duraglit to see if my engine can look like that....

Possibly because Discovery is a 'quality info' type channel. I've not seen anything on there that is crap (except possibly for the UK style DIY programs which are cringeworth, bring on the yanks, they do that much better - mmmm, power tools.....).

Also the Discovery channel is aimed at learning / informing (as opposed to general magazine type things). Hence building a kit car, or restoring a car rather than an entire series devoted to w*nkers windows starrers and the bolt on tat brigade.

I've certainly learned a few things from the 'a car is born'.

I totally agree, It would be great to see the beeb get some of that. But, hey, I've got Sky so I need not bother with the beebs dimisishing programming (sad decline IMHO). If I want info / brain stimulizing car stuff then Discovery, if I want to chuckle at the tat brigade I'll tune into Bravo.

Ahh, choice, a wonderful thing
