Number Plate Blurring

I am selling my car and want to blur the number plate out.
How do I do this?

Depends how competant you are with photoshop!
Easy way is to select the blur tool with the right sized brush and blend around a bit.

What I normally do is create a new layer, create a selection that covers the letters, feather then gradient fill with the gradient colours set to match the background of the plate. might add some grain to match the image then merge down. Obviously you end up with a blank plate, not a blurred one though.

I just use the crop tool and copy one letter and paste over another. Takes about 3 seconds.

Easiest way is to email the pics to a friendly PH'er to haev a go...

or if you really want an easy way - view them as thumbnails in My documents, right click <<Edit>> and then use the syringe and brush to suck the colour of the rest of the plate and paint over the letters

I copy a small piece of the plate background and then paste that over the whole plate.

Easy unless the plate is at an angle in the pic ...
