just taken my oil pump to bits to fix a leak - gears are pretty new but the cover has some wear
has anyone any idea how worn is worn with these covers ?

I wouldn't be too concerned - as long as the gears are ok it will pump plenty
Check it against a straight edge while it's off - it might be bowed anyway. Some light scoring is OK though.
You can have them skimmed back to flat for not much dosh.

ISTR the car had the oil pump replaced before i got the car, so it should have had a very easy life. Are you having fun richard?
sadly the pump gears were renewed and the cover not - rpi are sending all new gear cover etc and seals for the sandwich plate - yep jim it's a laugh a minute - the oil leak thing was driving me mad - oil on my nice garage floor !

hah .. success new gears and covre back on , pack my crevises with vaseline ,crank with the plugs out for 30 seconds

funny how little things can give you so much satisfaction ......
does any one need some nearly new pump gears,a slightly worn but skimable cover , some bolts and a new presure switch foc ?
