NEW EVO OWNER A FEW QUESTIONS

Hi I am about to collect my dream car next week and I have a few questions about it. It is an EVO 8 FQ320.
I test drove one and the person did not know what the "tarmac, gravel and snow" settings did. Also what is the best oil to use (grade etc).Does anyone know if there are any links to road tests on it.

And the TARMAC, GRAVEL, SNOW button affects how the active centre diff works (for splitting power front to back)
