Just about to start putting the Chim in a garage regularly, but as I don't use the car on a weekly basis (weather and other commitments prevailing) I was wondering anyone previously had made some sort of battery isolator?

I was thinking of disconnecting the battery, but this is such a fiddle down in the footwell, and thought that a switch either in the positive or negative to break the circuit, therefore preventing battery drain would be easier (the garage is securely locked, and even if someone were to break in and connect the battery, the immobiliser would then kick in)

Thanks in advance!
James.

Quite a few griffs left the factory with these fitted, and they were located in the glovebox on the griff.Dont know where you want to put yours, but i would switch the earth rather than the live.Key switches are easily available from Vehicle Wiring Products,Demon Tweeks etc

My Chimaera has an isolater key fitted in passenger footwell - the red key sort that are used in motorsport.

It's very handy to have! Can be seen in the pic below
