What's the best way to check if a car's been crashed?

Hpi, Experian, aa, rac etc etc of course IF it's been 'recorded'.

My own opinion is if you're going to buy an xk8/r and are anyway unsure it must be worth paying for a professional inspection?

There are various issues with these cars that would benefit a proper inspection if you aren't too sure about checking a car yourself, better safe than sorry
