Help Car not well

I need some help and advise as have lost all confidence in my P&J

Car not running well seems to stutter when under hard acceleration. Resently changed plugs and extenders as one of them was split and shorting out on exhaust. Also had split pipe on the vacuum advance system since work completed have also re-set ECU.

Went for a drive yesterday and still not running well and ever worse got to 60 MPH and lost all power. Pulled in to layby waited a couple of minutes and restarted straight home and put car back in garage.

Any advise greatly appreciated as you can imagine I now have no confidence whatsoever in driving the car

This may be too simple, but after doing similar work to mine and having a problem just like yours, and much head scratching the lead to the air flow meter was not connected properly. Hope yours is as simple. Good luck

Hi,
I would also consider looking at the other ignition components, HT leads, coil, rotor arm and dizzy cap.
