Hey guys,

due to your quick and heavy duty responses to my uneducated-sounding remarks it has now been confirmed to me that this is the best car website I have ever found. This is due to the kind of people who are members and the wealth of knowledge they are all so willing to share and discuss with complete strangers...that is just great and demands respect. I know noone who owns a real sports car so all my knowldge is from evo mag over the last few years and from PH.com.

My post last time about Porsches being "poncy" etc was to "test the waters" and Im actually glad at the slating it got. I worked out what a troll was as well. Im not by the way! Im actually extremely open minded and willing to learn from any of you guys .

So next time I have a $hit day , Ill annoy the people at freeserve chat for over-50 singles, not you guys.

Cheers and sorry. Keep up the good work .

no harm in reading the mags and asking questions. All of us started off (and still) read all of the mags and dream of what car next even if you have a porker or other fantastic car. You never stop looking for your next wow car. The only way to really know whats it like is to ask in forums like this.

Its just If i went on the TVR site and said they are cr'p then I will probably get shot down in flames and hen barred. same with any make. constructive comments allways welcome.

LOL , no problem and welcome to the Porsche forum

Because PH started life as a TVR forum, there have been many Porsche vs TVR debates and everyone is bored of them now. It always boils down to horses for courses. Constructive debate is fine, but people can be put-out by mindless criticsm or offensive remarks... especially if you are not known to the forum already. But that's the joy of sticking around... you can wind up Rubystone about owning pink cars, Ultra Violent about being a coke snorting city boy and me about worrying the badgers

Have I just stumbled upon the PB club? What's going on here then? I know UV has a pad there. Dom, are you on holiday there or have you invested?

LOL Dom,

I'm trying to get my flight sorted for next week. Definitely not driving there now, after some news I just heard!! Should be coming down with the porn King Dan. My mobile should work, but I'll email you my home number out there too.

I agree with the thread starter btw, this site has some truly fantastic characters, just beware you might initially lose a large part of your life to it

Don't see what the problem is, I did Calais to Marbella in 18 hours in 1996 (BMW 7 series). If you want to cheat my younger less responsible brother did Santander to Marbella in seven hours in an AMG.

Go Ninja Go!!!!!, You know you want to Razzzzzz it through the desert south of Madrid.

LOL Sorry, Steve.

RR - just a holiday, know too many people with places out there to invest yet Why buy when there are so many spare sofas?

UV - cheers for the offer - sounds like a good idea for this year or next! The 200 quid lobster must be what they use in those pret a mortgage sandwiches

Ninja - hey, top shout. Cool to meet up with you and Dan.

BTW, Daz also has a PB connection... the list grows. Maybe Ted will have to set up a PB forum on PH...

You canny bugger

I was in shorts for schooling not holidaying back then

Not sure how much money I could have raised at the age of 10... barely enough for a Grifter and a packet of refreshers.

Talking of pads in PB, a mate's dad has the biggest villa in the port, something like 50 rooms with a cinema etc. It's the vast place next to the Marbella Club. Originally it was pretty big, at £17m, although he had it bulldozed flat to build what is there now.

I'd be up for a bit of that some time. How did you get on with the laydeeez?

Banus Banus Banus - was there in the '70s, practically helped build it - picked James Hunt up off the quayside several times - dodged Arabic Mercedes all day...moved on to St Jean Cap Ferrat in the '80s.... now in Canvey Island...and what's wrong with pink cars?
