Well I can't really see his point, scratchchin you can hardly compare an MGB with any TVR, they are completely different types of car, however it has to be said TVR's generally don't have a great reputation for reliability even though they are awesome cars....

The speed six engine,... bonnets flying off Saggy's for example.......

Ah, but the MG's rear suspension was designed in Colorado; Leaf Springs.

Yes but this is a comparison to a Rover built MG.

Rover built MG - only one word can truly describe this item..... Ratners.

I have had the pleasure ????? of driving one of these things, aweful! and it looked like it had overheated on many occasions.
Drives like a 40 year old car, because it is a 40 year old car,and it still looks like a 40 year old car with a body kit, at least the original cars(chrome bumper/wires)have some credibility.

Has anyone else read the article that compared the RV8 and the Chim 400? The RV8 was slated on power, looks, handling and just about anything else you care to mention. Wouldn't touch one if it was the last British Sportscar in the world - if it looks like a dog and barks IT'S A DOG! yes

As someone else said the seller's a cheeky sod and lucky to get a bid at £8.5k! rolleyes

Anyone for a bit of spring wind up and axle tramp?

I had a 70's V8 "B" and they cannot compare with any of the TVR range.

I still like the MGR for its retro/modern looks though!!!

I always kind of liked the MG RV8 *ducks for cover but I would never consider buying one because its too small and Im not an MG fan

They look unbelievably small from the drivers seat...dont think I could get anywhere near seated in that thing....looks like Id have to stick it between me cheeks and run with it

I would never EVER contemplate an MG over a TVR
