I can see a lot of unhappy owners then! Same deal as here when they dropped the 06 ro's to 26k

Mind I am still more than happy with my savings I made on my 05 (04) and the big boot

£17000 - £1500 GST rebate on a brand new export
£15500 + £1000 shipping
£16500 + £1650 import duty
£18150 + £3176 VAT =
£21326

Or go and live in Aus for 6 months and save yourself £5000

Yeah considering the HSV GTO aka VXR is around $85k Oz and the Clubsport is $62k Oz. Vauxhall have a larger markup on the clubsport since both retail at the same level here.

Of course the SS doesnt have the suspension, brakes and badge of the HSV. But you get to choose from a wider range of colours and save £15k which Im sure will buy you good brakes and suspension with a load of change. JHP will probably sell you the HSV bodykit if thats what you want too.

It is tempting. Plus of course the L92 heads flow way more than the LS2 ones so you get a little bonus with the SS on that front.

My brother in Melbourne has an email in his inbox already asking if he has space on his driveway.
Im sure the whole process isnt going to be a pleasant experience though!

Thanks for the details. Being as I am VAT registered; does this mean I can claim the VAT back?

I'm guessing you can only claim the VAT back if it'd be used as a commercial vehicle. The rules for which are quite strict I think.

I will have a chat with my accountant. As it is he advising me to buy a petrol van just to help offset the cost of the fuel

I guess he's going to go a little mad when I suggest this

Watching the ad it comes out with "up to 15% off".
I would guess not too many of the SS's will be 15% off!
I am struggling to find one below $41,990+orc.
