I've been trying to make my website have a little bit of php in it, mainly just so that I can make it far more simple to change the navigation and other bits that are common to the whole site. I know virtually nothing about it at all, so, unsurprisingly, it hasn't quite worked. However, it nearly has!

Essentially, it's coming up with "" before the bits go in, and I can't work out why. The site is www.atlanticrow2007.com, and the new page I'm trying to get to work is at www.atlanticrow2007.com/newindex.p

I'm a bit lost, so thought I'd ask here to see if anyone has any suggestions. I wouldn't be surprised if it's mind numbingly simple, but it's still beyond me!

Thanks
Sam

If you look immediately after it says DivID=Container those characters are present...

What's the actual php you're trying to use?

newfooter.htm had a rogue char at the start, this has now been removed beer

It could be you simply saved it in a strange format (was it done on a PC or a mac / nic?)

Thanks for the help. It was indeed that pesky rogue character!

I'm still a little bit confused, as I can't work out where it's come from. Equally, after uploading the file again (and making it not work again), I edited the files to make sure there weren't any extra bits there, couldn't see any, but deleted where it would be just in case, and it seems to work now!

Never mind, it's working now, and that's all that really matters.

Thanks again.
