What about wind noise and leaks
What sort of speed do you have to be going before you start to get whistling sound?

The noise from my targa panels seems insignificant compared with that from the door A-pillars.
In my experience so far, they don't leak at all - but I have yet to be caught in a deluge...
What I can say with 100% confidence, is that driving with the panels removed is great fun :-)

I've never head or them leaking. Mine never have, in the worst monsoon stylee rains.
I posted about not wanting to vmax my car in fear of the panels flying off. This is more self preservation. I've never heard of any coming off, but parts of TVRS do tend to pop off/out at the highest speeds (Cerbera/Tuscan rear screens, Tuscan S splitters for example).
If you fit them straight/carefully they are quiet to 90-100mph. Over this speed they can whistle a bit. Each car is different. One thing for sure - most dealers will not have taken the time to get a tight/quiet - if you test drive a dealer car it will probably make a noise at a lower speed. Try a few private cars (even as a passenger).

My targa panels came off at 130mph+. At 120+ you could see daylight through them, then they'd lifted to the point hte metal "pins" had slide from the central bar. Have since had some custom clasps made up for the front of the panels that make very, VERY sure this doesn't happen.
Until then it could get really noisy over 100, too. That's been made *much* better since this.
It's never leaked through the roof other than when I was using the jet-wash thing to rinse it off and pointed it at a very flat angle to the roof and got a bit forcing its way under the seals.
Personally, I think it's worth it for the meaner looks (with a carbon fibre roof) and the open(ish)-top motoring in summer. Still prefer the Tuscan's roof, though.

Tell me more about these custom clasps. I'd like some for mine if possible. Anything to improve the experience!

Any chance of seeing some pics of what you had done? I want to find someone local to do the same thing for my targa panels, just to quieten things down on long trips at over 100mph (in mainland Europe or course!)
