Chaps,

I recently had a 24 hour drive in a 997 Carrera 2S and was most impressed by the overall package - although: -

I prefer a more track biased suspension setup.
More power would be nice.

I like the 996 GT3 and the 996 Turbo.

Am I best looking for a 996 GT3 or maybe a 996 Turbo (with sports suspension)?
My budget is less circa £60K and I currently drive a Lotus elise - I am therefore keen to get a car which can go on a track three or four times a year without too maany mods.

Ta,

J.

If you are coming from an Elise definitely go for the 996GT3, the 997 is a fantastic car (it's what I've got) but for track work the GT3 is the way to go and it will seem luxurious compared to the Elise!

These are starting to look good value now. http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/cl
Link doesn't appear to work but its a 06 Cayman S with reasonable options for 42995 at Porsche centre Solihull.
