Was thinking about trying to ebnter a couple of races this year. Looks like there are some nice cars to race against! What is the series like? Id assume its very competative?

No, I don't race there [yet] but it's one of the best loking grids out there - and it seems to have a far better atmosphere than EERC, nowadays.
Very competitive and (particularly in Class A) there are some gorgeous machines out there, too.

Quite a few guys from the super coupe cup went over to LMA and enjoyed their racing.

I raced against the Noble in Roadsports so hope you have something very quick. What are you planning to enter?

Quite a few drivers hang out at www.ten-tenths.com

TVR cerbera. Will be racing in the tuscan challenge mainly but would like to race against some non TVR marques. So how quick is that noble?

Mike,

Assuming its Mal Davisons car it was doing 50.4 at Brands Indy, 1.16 Snetterton and Donington 1.18. There was tuscan in 750MC Roadsports that did his best to keep him honest.

I'm not sure if you are vistor to www.msttiming.com but it will be useful for comparison of times.

I hear the TVR series should have good grids this year, will be good to see that grow back up.

Good like Mike.

Always good to see another model of car out. With that type of time in mind are you expecting the Cerb to be significantly quicker than a Tuscan?

Not to start with. A 53 at brands. But i have some plans for later in the year or early next season. To be honest all i can do is talk about it at the moment as i havent driven the car on track yet so it may be rubbish!!

To start with this year im very underpowered but im hoping to get all the handling sorted first, then sort the power issues.

53's were what the tvr class B's were doing last year at brands. and Andy was doing 50's in his ajp tuscan.

hopefully we'll be a bit quicker without a bent wishbone and 24mm toe in on the front!!!!!

I'd be disappointed if i couldnt get it into the 52's next time out in good conditions.

with the bent wishbone the handling was a mare twitchy then straight into understeer, so as you can imaging clearways was a no hoper an i was slow though paddock as it was impossible to balance. add to that no sleep for 36 hours and a heavey cold... i was lucky not to park it in something yikes

Mike,

I just signed up to do the Rockingham round on 28th April. Essentially it's a shakedown run for the endurance spec Daniels Motorsport Civic Type R that i'll also be driving in the Britcar 24hr. I don't know much else about the series I'm afraid but if you are still interested i'll let you know how it goes .. or come down and say hello, looks like it's the nearest meeting to you until Brands in Sept.
