Hey lads, just saw the post regarding these on Mk1. Do they show up as faulty when you plug the car into a diagnostic?? Or would you notice serious power loss??

They can show up as lumpy idle, poor running or no obvious fault at all other than the engine check light coming on.

Easy to diagnose at an OPC with the test kit.

IIRC, I got a fault code whne Strasse put it on the clever computer thingy.

I had them check, as I had a couple of weird flat spots and average idle.

I got a replacement sensor from Eurocarparts for £157 I think. Takes 2 minutes to replace.

had mine done this year. I thought the lumpy idle was normal. Now feels much smoother and pulls harder under acceleration.
