So my yellow Gallardo Spyder is going back to Acton to get the engine warning lights reset

I'm thinking about getting them to paint the Callisto wheels black at the same time
What do you guys think?

BTW apparently the process can be reversed if I really hate it

here are some pictures I found of others with black wheels

yes do it - silver wheels always look dirty so it'd be an instant upgrade in that regard. Would be v interested to hear how much it costs. LHW have quoted me about £150 a wheel for refub.
I had been thinking of doing the same, though had wondered whether black car + black wheels and possibly privacy glass (getting fed up with having photos taken and people staring all the time) is a dodgy combo.
Much that many would assume it to be the case, I am not a drug dealer after all.

do it. its something i'm considering as well for the future, just to give the car a different look.

personally i'd go for a matt black rather than a shiny black.

Forget about the yellow - dark grey could look excellent.

Hi Doug

Lambo Acton wanted circa £850 + vat to paint my wheels, Why don't you use the same place Johnny and I used, they will pick up and deliver the wheels back to Acton and you can buy me a pint with the money you save :-)

o think the anthracite cassiopas look fantastic with Giallo midas, but i'm not sure about black. I think something like a black murci with black wheels makes quite a statement of evil intent, but i've seen a set of black wheels on G spyder in switzerland and it all looked a bit "2 fast 2 furious" for a 150k supercar, i would stick with the anthracite finish which looks much classier but each to their own i suppose.

Did Mandeep's car get you thinking?

Do it. It'll look deadly. Especially with the Spyder's black roof.

Doug,

Not a huge fan of the Black wheels myself. I prefer the dark grey similar to those that Simon has on his Murcielago. They looked stunning on his car at Silverstone and would really suit a Yellow Gallardo Spyder.

Heres a quick photoshop to show what the dark grey wheels will look like: -

Tim
