Mate of mine is going.
£145 for a week in a 5 star hotel.
£44 for a 3 day pass into the circuit with grandstand seating.
£740 for the flight.
£12 for the taxi from airport to hotel.
He's got a mate in the Renault F1 pit crew, so I don't know how much the above prices have been discounted.
Cheers

I posted a similar question here:

and got a couple of helpful replies - a shame the same could not be said for the travel agents - so-called "motor racing specialists" that I emailed on Friday.
Any enthusiastic travel agents around here? or recommendations?

I went to last years event and the year before and the prices seem aliitle out, i dont know where you will find a 5* hotel in KL on race weekend for 145 GBP but there is accomodation available at that price, maybe 3* or less, you will not find a taxi that will use a meter on race weekend either, so everthing has to be negotiated, it might be 12GBP on Friday but i can assure you that you will have to use the doubling rule on each day after that. Having said that you dont need to use a taxi, there are train services out to the track from KL, that are much cheaper. Not sure about 44GBP inc seating, i paid 45GBP and had a fantastic place on the covered grassy bank. Word of warning take sunblock and or an umbrella, it can get extremely hot this time of the year, oh and plenty of water to drink

I'd have a look at the websites for the airlines in the area. Might be doing some form of combination deals. Thats what I got with Royal Brunei Airlines. Admitedly I had to fly via Brunei.
Did the Malaysian GP a few years ago, booked via expedia and stayed in a fab 4* hotel in KL and the Taxi driver took us both ways 3 days for about £50! Had a great time too, but boy is it warm. We also took 10 days in Langkawi, worth a few days on the beach if you're going that far and it means you can get cheaper flights away from GP weekend!
Hope this helps.

. Hes got pit lane pass and everything, see costings already posted. How cheap is that! you couldn't get the cheapest British GP ticket for what hes paying. I will have to make do with Spa this year.
